Steel Buildings in Amarillo & the Texas Panhandle
We help you find a local steel building company. You get the quote straight from them.

What we can help with
Panhandle weather is hard on buildings. You can get high wind, hail, blowing dust, and real snow, sometimes all in the same month. Steel handles every one of those well, as long as the building is designed and put together for conditions up here.
We don't build anything ourselves. We are a referral service, so you tell us what you need, and we send your request to a steel building company that already works in the Amarillo area.

What's different up here
Amarillo gets more snow than most of Texas, and your roof has to be strong enough to carry it. Ask for the snow load to be listed clearly on the engineering drawings for your building.
The wind blows most days of the year, and doors on the north and west walls take the worst of it. Keep that in mind when you decide where your big overhead doors should go.
Farms and feedyards around Hereford and Dumas often need large, open barns. Those buildings are a different scale from a backyard shop, and the builder should have experience with them.
The City of Amarillo and the City of Canyon each run their own permit offices. Land out in Potter or Randall County usually comes with fewer rules, but it's still worth a phone call to check.
